Thumbs up 1911 Census England and Wales full index - ancestry

1911 England Census

Wales was supposedly complete before but has been updated, so hopefully some of the bits that were missing have been added:
1911 Wales Census

Note - the last column is still redacted though.

And apparently free to view over this weekend.

Not fully indexed though - I just tried to find some of OH's Essex ancestors with no joy, you'd have to trawl through the whole town!

It's supposed to be fully indexed now, Sue - could they be mistranscribed?

How odd! The old search won't let you put Essex in the search box! I tried searching for William Cant, Essex just to try it earlier which is when I posted. But if I leave the county at "any" and put Upminster in Civil Parish, William Cant appears top of the list.

New Search works fine....

I have been playing with it for the last couple of hours. I seem to still have a lot of people missing and some very strange transcriptions.

can anyone guess this occupation: Phipeace & Surfino. Joseph Baum Pike born 1853 Loughborough. The bad writing might be a clue.
