no i have no more than he is phil armstrong i was contact by a lady and she had this photo she also had photo of my husband grandfather stephen armstrong and his brother joe they did have another brother john who i dont know what happen too john owen armstrong 1862 greenwich london http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/480...son/-210317351 ihave a maybe penson record for him and joseph armstrong 1905 in straford essex parents john and ann armstrong |

I was thinking more along the lines of there being none to choose from on the CWGC site as the only Philip was in the RN.

There's Percy Philpot Armstrong but now I see he was navy too.
W P Armstrong Lance Corporal in the Lancashire Fusiliers died 29th Sep 1918. His middle name could be Philip? |

Just looked on FMP at Soldiers who died in WW1. No Philip Armstrong there either.

I found a Philip Armstrong in the military records on Ancestry but he was demobbed, so not killed in action.
