Very slow loading but I've spotted my Saunders family in Blo Norton. That'll give me something to go at, have almost nothing on them at the moment.

I saved an image but then couldn't open it again. What format does it save them in?

If you look down the list Norfolk has a red asterisk by it.

Let me know when you get to the images.

When you want to save an image you will have to put a (dot) jpg like this ----> .jpg extension on the save file otherwise you won't be able to open them.
My post a few pages back that I made on Friday night.

I had a likely marriage for one of my rellies in 1816 (which Wendy Pusey kindly looked for a while ago) and checked the marriage register entry online which told me the groom's parish which was very likely. Bride's name was Gaymore. I looked for a baptism as I had a birthplace on the 1851 census and found a suitable baptism, right year, surname Garmer.

Do you think this is likely? I've been saying Gaymore/Garmer in a cod Norfolk accent all day!

I'm Norfolk born and bred Nell, and I would probably say "Gaymer" so yes, if they had a broad accent I think it could be mistaken and written as "Garmer"

Yes it did.

Can't wait to get stuck into this. A whole new family to research. Having had a quick look at the Blo Norton records there are a lot of them. One of them seems to be a "serial witness" LOL. Her name on lots of records.

Thanks Wendy

Marg - perhaps she was the only one who could write her own name!
