Default London and Kent probate indexes - findmypast

We’ve also added the London probate indexes for names A-F, and a complete dataset for Kent. Records that we have include:

•Over 15,000 records added for London for the years 1750 - 1858
•6,300 records for West Kent for the years 1750 - 1858
•128,000 records for East Kent for the years 1831 - 1841

You can find these currently listed within Parish Burials.

They have also added the following baptisms:
Stepney Churches
St Dunstan 1835-1848 - 11,967 new records
St George in the East 1861-1877 - 15,848 new records

Spitalfields
Christ Church 1729-1795 - 19,481 - new records

Ooooh - wish I'd seen this before I just bought my special offer subscription. I opted to just get the 1911 access as I have ancestry as well.

I saw the London probate index A-F mentioned in a magazine recently - the person who indexed it is selling a CD of it, but I never got round to printing off the order form to send off for it. Presumably when he has the other letters finished they will be added to findmypast as well. A lot of my London ancestors come into the A-F section, though, so I wasn't too bothered about the other letters! But now I'm wondering what is actually included in the index because a couple of my Browns whose wills were proved in 1835 and 1845 don't come up on there.

Ah, just realised - they were PCC wills, so I guess the London index doesn't include those.
