Marquette, my ancestors were from the area. Have you checked the records at Bidborough? Have you visited the area? I visited the church at Bidborough and Tonbridge last year and have photos of there and also of Tunbridge Wells. I can email you single photos or collages if you are interested. Julie

Hi Julie,

No I have not visited the area - we live in Sydney, my husbands grandmother did some research in the late 1960s or early 70s on her family and her husbands when she went to England. Some family contacts say there are still buildings in the area that belong to descendents of the family. Not sure if thats Tanners, Hardwickes or Woodhams.

Desparately saving my pennies to see if I can make it to England for a Long visit - at least one day in records offices in about 20 counties so far. Any photos relating to Tonbridge and Speldhurst gratefully received.
