Wikipedia and FamilySearch Record Search say that Pendeulwyn is the Welsh name for Pendoylan, so that baptism looks likely. Other baptisms of the same parents (or at least, parents of the same name in the same place)!
John 25 Aug 1821, died 2 Sep 1821
Margaret 7 Sep 1822
Mary 14 Jul 1824
Anne 24 Jul 1826

Rachel Williams (Thomas's sister) is a visitor with a William Thomas age 42 born Llantrisant on the 1851 census (ref HO107 Piece 2456 Folio 108 Page 9). William could be Ann's brother or nephew?

Now I'm confused, because on the 1851 census there is a Mary William age 17 born Pendoylan who is granddaughter to William Day age 83 born Gloucestershire. William's wife is Mary age 65 born Glamorganshire (place name I can't read). I thought Anne's maiden name was Thomas, because of Elizabeth Thomas mother in law who is with Thomas sr and Anne on the 1851, so who's William Day? Is it possible he's Thomas sr's father and they used that patronymic system when Thomas sr was born (around 1799), even though William Day was English? So that Thomas was named Thomas William because his father was William?

(or is it a different Mary?)

Wow

KiteRunner and Elizabeth - thank you so much for your finds. I'm going to digest them now - and see if I can solve the puzzle KR has uncovered. (Why is it that one discovery always leads to another problem?) !
