There is a baptism for a Marjory Jonston on 24 June 1705 in Aberdour. Father's name is John Jonston. It's not consistent with her supposed age of death recorded on the headstone, but a better fit with the baptism dates of the children. If Jean Aitken, baptised on 22 May 1726, is Alexander and Marjory's first child and the Marjory baptised in 1705 is the mother, Marjory would have been around 21.

On the off chance, I was scrolling through an archive copy of the Fife Family History Society magazine and found Marjory Johnston was a witness in a dispute over the ownership of a church pew which was heard at the Court of Session. She is described as follows:
'Marjory Johnston, widow of Alexander Aitken, sailor in Aberdour, aged 49 or thereby.' Fits with the Marjory baptised in 1705. Also now know that Alexander died before 1755. |
