Default James Brimson

OH’s FFMMF

Name - "official" name and what they were known as – James Brimson
Date and place of birth – abt 1776, Maiden Bradley, Wiltshire
Names of parents – George & Betty Brimson (nee Whately)
Date and place of baptism – 30 January 1774, Maiden Bradley, Wiltshire (Family Search & from member tree on Ancestry)

Details of each of his or her marriages –possibly to Jane Spicer, 11 July 1814, Warminster, Wiltshire
then to Elizabeth England 24 June 1835, Exeter St George, Devon.
As Elizabeth was 30 years younger than James, I looked for a previous marriage and children and the one to Jane is the right timeframe and location - but I'm open to correction!

Occupation(s) – Listed as Navy Pensioner on 1841 & 1851 censuses
Addresses where they lived (including county if in UK)
1841 - & 1851, Heath Cottage, Broadclyst, Devon.

Date, place and cause of death – (probably) 1859, Burrow, Broadclyst, Devon. Cause unknown.
Date and place of burial. - unknown
Details of will / administration of their estate - unknown
Memorial inscription - unknown

Default Burrow

I think James Brimson lived in my home, Triangle Cottage, Burrow, Broadclyst. I am interested in finding out about people who lived here. The house was built approx 1750.

That's very interesting, Amanda. I'm sure Sue will be thrilled.

I know Broadclyst very well - it's where I sat my 11+. We always visit Killerton when we are down in Devon.
