Default Manorial Documents Register now includes Dorset - The National Archives

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/mdr/default.htm

There are gaps in lots of Dorset registers due to fire, flood etc.

Manorial records can help fill the gap. The register shows not only what is known to survive, but more importantly where it can be seen.

The records for some courts are split between as many as four locations, even one in Scotland!
