If I'd have put the info on a spread sheet it wouldn't be missing.

I am now frozen having fruitlessly searched the spare room.

Or look for something else, then you find the thing you were looking for before.

Haven't slipped under something into something ...
Children haven't taken them accidentally with homework.
Haven't picked them up in a pile of laundry...
other than that I blame the cats ... Julie

Yeh!! Found them!!

I decided to go through ALL the hanging files in the filing cabinet and ditch all the stuff that I don't want (100s of IGI prints and census sheets from before the days of the internet).

I laboriously went through all the files and in the third to last one I found the Kempston PR transcripts!! This was the folder they were supposed to be in (as Phoenix said ) and which I looked in twice yesterday, once briefly and once looking at every sheet.

The next problem is that I was quite ready to start studying the Kempston stuff as I'm currently "between families" in my research, but now - having looked at all the files - I have a pile of odd sheets of paper with things that need sorting/researching and I don't know which to do first

So pleased you found them, Merry!

I must admit to being like a butterfly with regard to my research. I start on one task, then get distracted by something else, and finally come back to what I was initially looking at. I can understand your not knowing what to look at first - I have that problem most days!

I've been too scared to look at this thread as I have lost something but it was on my computer.

Finally I just had to see if Merry found whatever she had lost. So glad you found them.

Told off yesterday for not heading up my working paper sheets correctly.

I pointed out that at the bottom of each one there is a note of what it is, precise time it was printed and WHERE YOU CAN FIND THE SPREADSHEET.

Boss looked at me as if I'd arrived from Mars. I've only been doing this for the last decade.
