If you google 117 Waterloo Rd, Lambeth and then click on maps you get 109 - 117 Waterloo Rd Mercury House, Lambeth, London SE1 8UL, UK.

If you then click the A on the map and then view the street view you can zoom in on the Waterloo Business Centre (next to the Waterloo Brasserie) which clearly says 117 on the signage. Unfortunately the upper part of the building looks distinctly 20th C to me. Still, unless they have re-numbered the street, that's probably where the pub was!

Thanks Merry, I had Googled many moons ago and knew that the building had gone but that was before magic camera stuff!! Will have another look. I found a few records at the LMA (a licence for a billiard table!) but no other info as yet. But that was when I was just getting into Family History and now that I have a bit more idea of what to look for I need to go back to see if I can find more!
