Default Frederick Golden Scrutton

Afraid I haven't spent as long as should have researching this because it relates to the one grandparent I am sure of and have been a bit obsessed with the mysteries of the others

But I wanted to post it anyhow in the hope that it might get picked up by the search engines


Name - Frederick Golden Scrutton, also known as Frederick Carver Scrutton
Date and place of birth - 1862, (Edit - correction) - Wivenhoe, Essex

Details of each of his or her marriages -1885 to Emma Elizabeth Went
Occupation(s) - Farmer - Edit - also a churchwarden
Military service - not known

1891 -Spring Farmer (?), Great Horkesley, Essex
1901- Fingrith Hall Farm, Blackmore, Essex

In 1911 Frederick is at Dunmow in Essex with wife Emma Elizabeth, daughter Agnes Mary, son Harold Francis, son Arthur Stanley, son Leslie Jack and son Owen Charles.

Frederick is a Farm Bailiff

Frederick and his wife had been married 27 years.
12 children were born alive, 10 still living, 2 had died.

Ancestry have their surname as Sonitton.

I think Frederick was born at Wivenhoe rather than Lexden (that's the reg district)

There's a probable death for his wife Emma E in Hove in 1940, aged 76.

Can't see Frederick's death so far.
