Hmmm. The baptisms I found have William as either a labourer of 46 Glover St, or a fireman/stoker of Havelock St. Neither seem right for an engraver.

Like I said, OC, he is a machine engraver on the marriage record but then a coffee works labourer on the 1891 census.

Entries from the online GRO birth index with surname Hill and MMN Eccleston:
Matilda 1882 Joseph 1884 Lucy 1886 George 1889 William 1891 Mary Jane 1893 Elizabeth 1895 John 1901 Grace 1903. The baptism for Joseph (on Lancs OPC) has 8 Davies St, engraver, and the one for William jr has 46 Glover St, labourer. They are at 46 Glover Street on the 1891 census with children Joseph and Lucy.
