Default Family tree programs for Mac

I have been doing my brother-in-law's tree and want to send him a GEDCOM.
However, he doesn't have a family tree program. I use Family Historian but he needs something to use on Mac.

Does anyone know what he could use? He has a significant birthday coming up and if the price is right I might buy him a package.

Off the top of my head I can think of Reunion for Mac. I have never used a Mac, so can't vouch for it, but I used the old Reunion for PC when it was going.

Elizabeth, I use Family Tree Maker on both PC and Mac. I find it seamless. It keeps me signed into both Ancestry and FamilySearch and gives me hints from both if I so choose. I sync with Ancestry, so when I've done work I upload that from whichever computer I'm on. I can then download it to the other computer so that I never have version issues. I'm still on FTM 2017 on the PC but have the newer program on the Mac (2019 as I recall), and that doesn't seem to cause any problems either. They both work fine. Very happy with FTM.

Pinefamily and Janet, thanks for the replies.

Janet, it's great to know that Family Tree Maker works on Mac. I use Family Historian but it doesn't seem to work with Mac. I have done quite an extensive tree for him and have fed him lots of information and documents but he can't navigate his tree himself at present.

Gulps, I can get Family Historian for about £36.

However, Family Tree Maker is far more expensive at just under £90. I won't be spending that sort of money so I shall have to find something else to give him!

Edit: I have found you can buy Mac Family Tree 9 from Apple store for under £30.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

I was just about to say Mac Family Tree. I don't have experience of it but this link does have a review on it.
