However, for 1851 for Banffshire there is only one page of Richardsons, and most of those are mine! |

Yes, the Scottish authorities aren't allowing the images to go online yet. But the Ancestry Scottish transcriptions are so bad, the FMP ones can only be an improvement.

Yes, they say in their email that
Due to the General Register Office for Scotland's licensing regulations, it is not possible to view the original census images on findmypast.co.uk If they were allowed to supply the images then I would think ancestry would be as well. |

It will help me because I might be able to find wider family. I'm looking at transcriptions for three surnames in particular and I have already got some possible extra siblings for some people. It is too expensive to do this on Scotland's People.
