Default helping a lady in her 80's ?

A request on Facebook to me as she was my MIL's friend -
would it be possible to help her ?

Allan
If you can find one thing to do with Druids Cross Orphange , also known as St Katherine’s girls school , in Calderstones ., Liverpool ( by Strawberry Fields )
It’s the registers I’m interested in . (1945 - when it closed .)
Also if Clumberlodge baby home in Freshfield ,Southport area have registers ? I would be very grateful (1941 to 1945) ????????.

is THIS sensitive research ?
thanks
Allan

Not if you are only asking where the records might be!

Wherever they are, now would not be a good time to try to access the records anyway. But also I would have thought data protection laws would prevent anyone other than the people named in the records from viewing them.

Allan, I doubt if the lady will be able to get the information she wants, any personal identifying information is bound to be closed. But always worth an ask!

Thank you all - BOTH of those homes when googled state "100yr old record closure - the Clumber Lodge home is still open - evidently it was in Liverpool but in 1941 when Liverpool suffered severe bombing - they moved it to Freshfields ,Formby ...AND - I got it wrong - it was the DAUGHTER of the lady in her 80's - and when I realised who the lady was - I knew her very well - a good friend of my Mother in Laws - Thanks again - looks like a dead end - Allan
