I have some Aylings too, in my Tupper part of the tree.

I also have Michael Foard born about 1806, who may have been a ships captain and later inn-keeper in NSW. He died 1842 in NSW so I have no information on him, except that he married Elizabeth Brazill in 1840 in Sydney. I wonder if he belongs to your FOARDs ?

I only disovered the Foard marriage yesterday while wondering why I didn't have a death for Sarah!. This is my OH's family, and Mr Foard is her 2nd husband, OH is descended for her first husband so I haven't looked at any other Foards.

And I have not looked very much at Michael Foard, as he is my gggg grandma's brother-in-law.
One day maybe, when I run out of other people !

Jill, there is an Ayling Facebook page and an Ayling DNA project, if you are interested.

A huge amount of research has been done.

Let me know if you are interested.

Thank you, these are my husband's ancestors so I'm not going into them any further at the moment, am just tidying a few things up.
