Thumbs up 1951 family photo - faded edges

Hi all,

I borrowed this old family photo from my dad, took it out the frame and scanned it. There seems to be some fading around the edges, which I'd like remove (or at least improved) if possible. When in the frame, it has a slight green tint around the edges, where you can see that fading effect.

Can anyone do anything with it?

Thank you.
