The will search on Scotland's People is free to search, and I can't see him on there, although it only goes up to 1901.

Well the only other document I would expect to see him on is the 1871 Scotland Census, I have the 1881 and 1891 he died in 1896 aged 34. I wouldn't think he had a will Kite to be honest they were only coal miners and very poor.

Terrible thing because his son also called Richard Geddes Young who wasn't a coal miner he was a farmer actually (the only Scottish ancestor who refused to go down the mines) born 1894 he was only two when his father died also died when he was 40 in 1934 he was my grandfather and my father's father my father was 15 when he died. They all died very young.
