Just to say the Queensland Government Gazettes database looks to have been indexed using OCR technology and therefore it works like most of ancestry's directories do - if you search for a name and both the first name and the surname appear somewhere on the page it will probably list that as match! I was trying to search for Walter Lambert Brown and although he is listed several times under his full name, searching for the full name didn't work. I had to search for Walter Brown and then just look through all the results seeing which ones were actually him.
