If the programme had been 10 minutes long I would have found it interesting. Too much padding.

He said he wanted to know how long his family had been connected with Brighton and they took that very literally with a line of women going back and their husbands not even being named, just to arrive at the two Gabriels. They could have explained the line more and also said whether anyone had arrived from elsewhere.

I did learn the answer to something that had puzzled me for years: why, when he had been court martialled and demoted twice , did my great grandfather have his army conduct recorded as good - not even very good! - on his discharge papers? Now I know it meant anything but good. I've just been looking at my dad's army record book and was pleased to see his conduct was exemplary. Thanks for rescuing the family honour Dad!
