It's official, I'm the poor relation
You will be pleased to know what little I have has been invested in a dash into Ancestry membership again and I've been busy.
Anyway, seems my lot were not as well off as it seems, my Lincolnshire Goulsons were in the habit of leaving anything from £500-£1,500 from 1900-1930 or so, just been piling through some of the Lancashire lot and found one line that toppled like dominoes between 1939 and 1950, probate every two years and it fell in the laps of two brothers, the smallest sum was over £4,000,, the total is over £60k, three years later the last one died leaving hardly anything, bet he enjoyed himself!!!
