What a delightful lady Mary. Not sure if I like the idea of cabbage water .. maybe no offspring and siblings has meant a peaceful life lol

No, I think I'll settle for a few years less and no cabbage water

Wow Mary! Bit confused by the bit that says she has lived under the reign of two Queens?
Victoria died in 1901 and Dorothy wasn't born until 1902? |

I was talking to a 95 year old yesterday who said 'God forbid I should live to 100!'.
I can across an 108 year old Sabrina Draper buried in 1859 in Wargrave Berkshire but I couldn't see her on census. I've a few nonagenarians in my tree, mostly C20th and my step great great grandmother Annie Elizabeth Pope lived to 101. |

OH's mother is 96, and we wouldn't be at all surprised if she makes 100. She only has to do another 3 and a half years.

I have Silvester Manclarke (7x gt grandfather) buried aged 106 in Lowestoft. I also have his will, his 3 marriages and his baptism so think I can safely claim he really was that old.

I'm quite fond of old Sylvester, even fonder of his parents for choosing such a helpful name.

You're right, I missed that. Dorothy was definitely born in 1902, so she missed the reign of Queen Victoria.
