ooo - Brilliant!! Thanks Merry.
Next question : how do I go about asking for them? EDIT: The question was answered on Research "Army Records" by Kiterunner & Margaret in Burton William signed up in Dublin when he was 20 in 1812. He served in Gibraltar, Spain, France and Canada (where he injured his arm). He was discharged after 22 years service (21 years 358 days lol!) at the age of 42 in 1834. Now the mystery is how Mary & William met.. He was from Wales, she was from Devon. Did they both go to Dublin independently and meet there? or did he come to Devon? or she go to Wales? .... I guess I may never know
