Infuriatingly, there is a John Llewellin/Ann Hughes marriage in Bristol - where the Powells had family - in 1802 - but it's transcript only, so I can't tell if it might be her.

My CD only has both OTP, by banns, to add to that one (7 Sep 1802, St Paul's). There is also a John Lewellin / Ann Gilbert marriage 14 Jul 1808 at St Nicholas, Bristol, but again, the CD only says both OTP, by banns, no more info.
It looks as though both would be viewable at a FamilySearch Centre on digitised microfilms. |

Phoenix, did you ever find out how you knew that Ann's husband's name was John? And did you ever get her death certificate? Or her will?

Well, I've made a start and ordered her will!
I blush to say this is the first online will I've ordered.

As an elderly widow with no descendants and a codicil, I am hoping for good things from her will. If she dares to leave it all to Mary Ann Lines I shall be very disappointed in her!
And yes, I will report back!

This could be his burial:
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/interacti...nSearchResults Alexander Llewelling, adult, 10 Feb 1805, St Olave Bermondsey. Sad if it is him, as it would mean he died within 2 months of the marriage. |
