Margaret Murphy's marriage
Margaret married Alfred Corby Hillary on 23 March 1861 from his father's address in Lambeth:

I know from bitter experience that people can travel a fair old distance in a few days, but I'd have thought she would be in London. My theory is that Margaret Murphy is the daughter of (John) Maurice Murphy, coachsmith, but this would be aided if I could link Jane to Margaret in some way.

There's this one in St Dunstan, City of London, age 47, born Ireland, wife of John Handley, parliamentary reporter:

I looked up the maiden name of that Jane earlier. I think it was Pope.

I thought the wife of a parliamentary reporter might be too grand to be connected

I thought it fitted quite well with Alfred's occupation of Bookseller.

I don't think I even looked at that! I was going by what I thought I remembered about the Murphy's from another thread

Having looked back, I see the other thread was about a different family!

Thanks, guys. I've worked my way through all Margaret's siblings' marriages, to look for clues. I get the feeling that Margaret broke away from the rest of the family. The wife of a parliamentary reporter might well be too grand for Margaret's family - but possibly not for Margaret herself!
