Cornwall OPC has transcriptions of apprenticeship indentures for some of its parishes.

You have to scroll down a little.
Some of them will show that the parish is apprenticing a poor child of the parish. They make very interesting reading.

Fascinating. Noticed that young pauper girls were being apprenticed to men in order to learn the art of housewifery. Hmmmm...
