Default Are these the same person or from same

Can anyone help are these the same person or do you think from same family ;;
Found it amongst my granddads things and seeing as ladt 1 is my nans aunty thought this might be same or same family

Well it it's not the same person they are very closely related.

They are very alike, but I'm not sure they are the same person.

To me, the close up photo seems to be an earlier photo than the other one - based mainly on the lady's glasses which look 1950s in the close up, but maybe more recent in the first picture, yet the close up lady looks at least as old as your nan's aunt. What dates was she alive?

Merry right you might have hit that on the head one the top one I'm not sure if its Jessie Norton b1896 or her mother Mabel Playford b 1871 d 1956 , I can vaguely remember Great Aunt Mabel but Jessie I remember quite well but both pictures havent got any names on ;;;so that would fit mother and daughter

Do you have any other photos you know are Jessie? It's just that the 'other' lady has very distinctive earlobes (of course, they might both have!) and I wondered if we could prove they were not the same person from their ears.

Nope none Merry havde asked lady who lived next door to them and she said she thinks it Jessie in the sepia picture

Pmsl yes Merry the one with doors , its just down same road as me , I always said as kid I was going to live in this road so was shocked when bought house here

I think the close-up shot is a lady of between 75 and early 80s and taken after WW2 but before 1960, making it more likely to be Jessie's mother or some other close relative, but not Jessie.

She is so familiar to me when I first found it wondered who it was but its been sat on unit next to me and every time I catch a look at it it reminds me of someone ,,,I was 5 when she died Mabel and she was lovely woman can remember her being nice to me when we went to visit every few weeks with my Nana
