Default Another amoral lothario or perhaps not?

That's 2 weeks on the trot I can't play.

In this case the title is not really applicable. My gm was the 2nd illegitimate child of 4 of my g-gm Agnes DOWNING. Her elder brother by 19 mths was named James Henry Day DOWNING which I feel indicates his father.

Interestingly on his marriage cert. he gives his father as William DOWNING the same as my gm. The 3rd child 7 yrs younger than gran has no father on her marriage cert. & the 4th, 10 yrs younger has Charles DOWNING as hers which is the same as Agnes' death cert. shows she is the widow of.

I have been through QS records & lived in hope that as gran wasn't baptised until she was in her 80's that she would come clean on that record but having persuaded someone to come & open the now defunct church which was just up the road from the Ipswich RO, found no such info.
