Which is best for researching FMP or Ancestry

I just answered this on your other thread! Each site has some databases which the other doesn't, though of course there is a lot which is on both sites. You would need to specify what you are researching e.g. which counties or which countries, for us to be able to suggest which would be better.

I will be searching the Lancashire and Gloucestershire plus ww1 records

Both sites have Lancashire parish registers but only Ancestry has the Gloucestershire ones. Both sites have WW1 records.
