Hello, i'm still trying to fill in gaps of this lady & i'm stuck on a few things! I can't find a birth record for Arthur T Lynch or James R Lynch only record is of them listed as a grandson on the 1881 census! Also I'm a little confused, i've found a death for a matching Thomas in August 1887 birth 1833 Devon. (different from the census records) A matching probate record says he was a Hawker which matches the 1881 census & says that he died in Plymouth workhouse 6/8/1887 he left £24 1s. Some of his children were in the workhouse on the 1891 census. Would he have been able to leave money if he was in the workhouse?

Thank you that's fabulous, i had found the baptisms though odd that not all of the children are baptized, Caistor, that's new i've just had a look at the Caistor parish baptisms but couldn't see anything. Sophie & Laura are new names.

I looked at Caistor too, but couldn't find anything. I went on the website Lincs to the Past and scrolled through the register. It seems odd if they were up there, but the name is right. However, James Richard said he was born in Plymouth in the census I looked at.

It is odd, I looked at Plymouth too as you said the census records that as his birthplace.
i have found burials for Sophie & Laura Feb & March 1878 they are in Ford Park cemetery, none of the others seem to be buried there! |
