(confirmed by newspaper entry of son Edward’s death)

Charlotte's Row/Charlotte Street, Portsea for most of children's baptisms

Date, place and cause of death
The Purkis register states that James died in January 1834 aged 52. However, this is three years out for the birth date given. I found no burial for January or February, but a burial for April, with the correct age.

Taradale very kindly contacted with me and gave me information extracted from a family bible giving the dates of birth and death of James and all his siblings and his parents' names and marriage! I wouldn't have found this information from the usual sources. David, many thanks, I am so grateful.
