Default Otago Settlers Museum

Don't know how recent this website is but I came across it the other day &
thought it might be of interest if anyone has ancestors who emigrated to this
part of NZ.
Mine are there in all their glory - pin-sharp pics of each along with biographical
notes containing quite a lot that was new to me:-

Here is the link http://www.toituosm.com/

Otago is known as the Scotland of the South so if you have Scots ancestors who came to New Zealand it would be a good place to start looking.

Ah! Lovely, thanks. Not my folks, but I'm never above living vicariously.

Went there when I was in NZ in Nov but unfortunately my lot were slightly too late to be included in the first settlers info.

I emailed the museum to say how interesting I found it & they passed on my comments to
the person who had provided family info. I've now had an email from him along with
some great pics & an offer of further details. Isn't that great?
