1911 search for John Hallowell
Can anyone help in a search for John Hallowell bn 1865 Liverpool.
He died in 1932 occupation as a dock labourer. Last found in the 1901 Liverpool Census at Maidens Green in the Liverpool Exchange area, under the surname Halliwell. I would be grateful for any help, that,s not to say he may not be recorded. Thank you in advance. |

Where did he die, please? And did he ever marry?

Ah, I see his age is given as 40 on the 1901 census, so it could be wrong in 1911 too.

Can I just check.....
You have given his rough birth and death details and said "last seen in 1901", but that's not makig it clear whether you need us to go backwards or forwards from 1901!

Merry...I think he wants the 1911 census for John Hallowell ...presumed in Liverpool...
Kopite.... What was his occupation in 1901 ?....maybe he was a Mariner and was at sea in 1911..so many Liverpool men were mariners....allan added...and can`t you change your name ???...just typing the word KOPITE makes me cringe...being a bitter blue ...lol

In 1911 the only unmarried match I can see in 1911 is a 45 year old cab driver, John Hollowell, b Liverpool living at a registered lodging house at 7 9 and 11 Everton Brow Liverpool.

Merry,
He was single, I also came across the Everton Brow address. Some of his uncle,s had been cab driver,s so it may be him. Garstonite, sorry mate but you will have to cringe away but I won't hold it against you. He was a dock labourer in 1901 mate. |
