Default A clean-up please?

I hope I've done this correctly. I can't scan it again as my Dad has the original and this is a surprise for him! I've uploaded it to Photobucket at the 1 MB size so I hope it's ok.

I'd be really grateful if anyone could brighten and sharpen it up for me, many thanks

Dad had always wanted a gun, gauntlets and boots, and he got them for his birthday so his parents had a photo taken because he was so pleased! We think he's about 7 or 8.

Hi Mandy
Not a lot I could do because of the small file size
If you get the chance to rescan it at 300-600dpi, please post it again

bet he wore the gauntlets to bed !

I bet he wore the boots to bed too, and maybe even put the gun under his pillow

The black and white looks really nice. I can't find the original to re-scan but I've scanned another pic of Dad as an altar boy and I've done it at the bigger resolution.
