LOL!!

I would like to know why, whe people ask for help on here, if they ask about someone called Samuel I always look up Joseph instead? (or the other way round) It's not as if the names are similar! I do the same with George and Thomas.

*must remember the next time I ask Merry to help to double check what name she is actually typing.*

27 Sept 1869 (something) Lane, Cork.

Discovering this branch of your family certainly took us down many new avenues, Merry!

lol Yes Elizabeth!

It really bothers me that there's apparently no death reg for her and JCH visited Cork about the time she seems to have vanished! (I've probably been watching too much Downton Abbey!)

Seem to recall that Maggie also worked in Dublin and that we found her in rural Ireland (Co Carlow?) in one census.

I so loved chasing Maggie. In fact, I had another look at her prison and court records on Ancestry Ireland yesterday on FMP Ireland during the free access weekend, as I was getting nowhere with my Irish lot.

Too law-abiding, clearly.

You're quite right Shona, but I didn't have access to my tree when II put the above together and, whilst I could remember much of it and looked up a couple of bits again I didn't review the census.

1901: Peacock Lane Penitentiary, Cork
1911: Kernanstown, Carlow

I just need to know where she vanished to after 1919 and that her son didn't commit murder and bury her under the patio on his last visit 'home', as the two events seem to coincide.
