Default Harry Clayton (OH's MMF)

Name - "official" name and what they were known as:
Harry Clayton (but currently unsure if he was registered Henry Clayton)

Date and place of birth: According to the death index, it was 16th November 1896; however, his baptism was in 1895.

Names of parents:
Charles Clayton & Annie (Ann) Squire

Date and place of baptism: St Bartholomew, Langsett Road, Sheffield in 1895. I don't currently have the full date as FMP's Sheffield baptism transcripts are not working properly at present by not giving the full dates. They tell me they are working on it and will be sorted next week. The baptism does state that he was Henry Clayton, son of Charles & Annie of Grammar Street.

Details of each of his or her marriages: 16th June 1917 at Gloucester Register Office to Kathleen Patience Hamblin. Harry aged 22, Bachelor, Soldier, of 53 Bamforth Street, Sheffield, father Charles Clayton, Cutler. Kathleen aged 21, Spinster, of Chesnut Cottage, Maisemore. Father Samuel Hamblin, Farm lab. Witnesses: Ernest Crotchley & Bessie Shepherd

Occupation(s): Machine Tool Worker

Military service: He was a Soldier during WW1 but I have not found a record yet for him. His daughter, who is still alive, tells me that he was wounded and in hospital in Gloucester when he met Kathleen who was helping with care for wounded soldiers.

Addresses where they lived - and please list which censuses you have or haven't found him/her on:
1901 Census: 111 Grammar Street, Sheffield
1911 Census: 53 Bamforth Street, Sheffield

Date, place and cause of death: Mar Q 1978, Sheffield, Vol 3, Page 1707 - Age 81 (I think the age is incorrect by a year or two)

Date and place of burial / cremation: Not known.

Details of will / administration of their estate: Not known.

Memorial inscription: None
