Well done you for typing it all out! I was laying down in bed with the laptop doing the searching and my typing skills are poor at the best of times, so I couldn't face it! lol

OH WOW!
I can't believe you found him!.....and it looks like you have answered the question to the d'ced child too! Benjamins father from what i have found was called David, and i understand it was common practie to call the eldest boy after the paternal grandfather. You are truly amazing! the Davies/Ellis family you found fits with every thing i have found, i have the same Davies family in 1891 living in Rose cottage, i have found the same family in every census back to 1841 which also includes finding Ann Davies family the Jones, her father was living with her in the 1881 and 1871 census so i was able to track them too. i lost the Davies' on the 1901 census and i just assumed that Ann had died and that most of the children had grown up and left home and that william was maybe living with one of them, etc... Speaking to my dad last night he didn't know if Isabella had ever lived in Prestatyn, but he remembers his dad telling him that Isabella was born in Scotland, so maybe it was her...... although why she would say she was born in Scotland remains a mystery!! Thanks so much with your help! Last edited by alisondaviesbell; 18-05-10 at 11:45. |
