merry ,you said in post 197 that on the 1939 register you saw rita and sidney and there were a few others you couldn't see . I thought the young sidney had died before his first birthday . could sidney be the grandmother ? are am i barking up the wrong tree . ?

the death i found wasn't in prescot , in 1909 so it may not be him

But he wasn't even born by 1909 was he?

In 1911 he was aged 10 months, so born 6 Jun 1910.

And he was on the 1921 census with his parents and the 1939 register with his sister and his grandmother. (post 152)
