I have one I'd like to claim, but she is a long shot.
William Avery married Lucy Chantler 1765 Ticehurst, Sussex. Died 1803 Speldhurst Kent aged 70 - cannot find baptism but can find John Avery bapt 1735 UpMarden, Sussex parents William and Catherine. Marriage William Avery and Catherine Stillaway 1725 North Marden. Baptism William Avery 1698 Harting Father John. Now is the fact that I want this to be my family because: it would put my and my OH's family in the same village over 300 years ago; by coincidence I have visted the tiny church at UpMarden; is that blinding me to the fact that I really am clutching at straws !! |

I cannot do this one as the baptism record of 3xg gf Charles Tupper simply says
"Charles, Charlotte and Thomas Tupper baptised 1 March 1807". I think their parents are Thomas and Ann, but how can I prove it ???? Cannot do OH's either as his 2xg g/m is the famous Emma Lewis Leak !! Julie - OH's other side were also from the Speldhurst area (Tanner and Hardwicke though) Di |
