If you get Joseph and Jane's marriage certificate, it should tell you who Joseph's father was.

FamilySearch Record Search has a baptism:
Emily Taylor 10 Jun 1853 Llanbeblig, Caernarvon, Wales, parents Joseph and Elizabeth. I haven't found a birth reg yet, though. |

I found a family on the 1851 census, Joseph, wife Elizabeth, children Samuel, Edward and baby Elizabeth, I had a feeling it could be them, but the birth place for Joseph was wrong.
The birth for Emily makes it look more correct. |

I guess this is the family you found in 1851:
Buckly Road, Bistree, Flintshire Joseph Taylor Head Mar 33 Brickmaker Journeyman Cheshire Hoole Elizabeth Do Wife Mar 36 Flintsh Mold Samuel Do Son 4 Do Do Edward Do Do 2 Do Do Elizabeth Do Daug 3 mo Do Do Elizabeth jr's birthplace on the 1861 is Redruth but maybe that's wrong? We need to see if we can find the family from Mold on the later censuses to see if we can rule them out. |

Just checked that family out and it's the wrong family.
They're still in Flintshire in 1861. Nevermind, Emily's birth may be right though. |

Trouble is, although at least the baptism gives us the first name of Joseph's first wife, it isn't going to be very easy to find the right Joseph Taylor / Elizabeth marriage without her surname, and I can't see a birth registration for Emily on the GRO index.
