Default Ancestry again!

My daughter keeps the tree on Ancestry, which I can add to and edit.

This evening I was on ancestry.co.uk and clicked on a death certificate on the tree that I wanted to view. It took me to a sign-in page and it is for ancestry.com and not ancestry.co.uk.

I can't view the certificate at all because it keeps on reverting to ancestry.com although I'm on the ancestry.co.uk website.

It's driving me made.

I know this is happening to lots of people, Elizabeth.

You can sign into ancestry.com with the same user id and password that you use for ancestry.co.uk and it should still allow you to view stuff on there that is included in your subscription to the UK site.

Thanks, Kate. I might try a different browser. I find I'm having to do this a lot nowadays.

Well I've now worked out that ancestry doesn't allow me on my Windows10 computers (desktop or laptops) to edit my ancestry tree any longer.

I don't know why.

If you haven't done so already, try rebooting, clearing cookies etc. Ancestry is perfectly happy to let me tack on extra family members.

I find that looking at anything DNA related defaults to the .com website. It doens't matter which one you are in though, it should all work regardless of which one you have a sub with.
