Likewise with me OH's dad went in 1923/4 to Canada and then moved to US and back again.
Couldn't find him in the US census in 1930 so am hoping once the 1931 Canada census is released I can find him then.

Here is the author of "Anne of Green Gables", Lucy Maud Montgomery, under her married name of Macdonald, occupation "Author" crossed out and "None" written in!
