Like father, like son?
A John LINFIELD (variously spelled) married an Elizabeth in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex in 1697. Family search comes up with these baptisms:
Elizabeth Lynfield 1698 John Linfilde 1700 Susanna Linfield 1702 William Lindfield 1706 Sarah Lindfeild 1709 Nathaniel Lindfeild 1711 Thomas Lindfeild 1711 John Lindfield 1714 Thomas Lindfield 1715 Mary Lindfield 1716 Elizabeth Lindfield 1718 Sarah Linfield 1721 Anne Lindfield 1725 John Lindfield 1728 Susanna Lindfield 1731 Nathaniel and Thomas are twins. There are some baptisms, children of John and Mary up to 1706, suggesting that the John who married in 1697 was a young man. Even so, his poor wife CANNOT have born children over a 34 year period. Can anyone find other marriages for Johns and Elizabeth? I'm beginning to wonder whether there were at least three of them!
