Default Tius/Tias/Tyus marriage!

From a Surrey will abstract we have this:

SW/26_442
Charles Tyus (X) of Guildford, innholder, weak 30 Nov 1699
to my brother Peter Tyus all my messuage etc. in St Mary Guildford now or late in the occupation of John Childe, gentleman and all my household goods; to my sister Jane Wadde wife of William Wadde of London, baker £15; to my sister Sarah White wife of John White £15 if my mother Joan Tyus lives with my brother Peter he to pay her £5 p.a. for clothes and if not £10 p.a. more; residue to my brother Peter, exec.
Witnesses: John Cooper; John Kindred (X); John Davenport, scr.
Proved: 1 Feb 1699/1700 to exec. [DW/PA/7/18 Q.2; DW/PA/5/1700/88]

The father was Peter and the mother Joan.

I have looked and looked but the marriage for John White and Sarah Tyus evades me.

Sarah TIUS was baptised on 19th January 1661/62 at St Mary, Guildford.
Daughter of Peter & Jone, Shoemaker.

Knowing how poor some Surrey registers are, I'd suspect it has simply been omitted. I have a marriage by licence, similar area and period, where the minister could not remember the groom's name when he came to record the marriage in the register.

Thanks, Phoenix. I'm trying to work out if she married my John White or not. I have my George White baptised in 1700 to John and Sarah White at St Nicholas, Guildford.

I found a will the other day that I was excited about .. then I realised that it was a Devon one and wouldn't have survived the bombings of Exeter.

Have looked through my Surrey & Middlesex marriages CD but haven't been able to find any marriage for a Sarah Tius/Tias/Tyus, checked the marriage licences as well from 1670-1699 but nothing.
The only marriages I found, which you probably have, were
1649 18 Feb Guildford - John Stileman/Jane TIVS
1656 02 Feb Godalming - Peter Tyase/Joan Chennell

Thanks for looking, Sussex Maid. Phoenix's conjecture about poorly kept registers may well be the explanation.
