Received an email at midnight telling me my great grandfather's will is available download.
It's very basic and no more than a few lines but to me it was worth £6 as it is all written in his hand and signed. The only things we have of his short life (he was only 22 when he died) are two photos and his signature on his marriage cert.

Kate did you manage to order the one you wanted?
I've just ordered another three wills, for the twin of a great grandmother and brothers of another two great grandmothers.

Just ordered it, Jay. I don't like to see mistakes like this on a Government site:
"Once that date has past the item will be removed from your account." |

I noticed that too, not very good is it!
I wonder if we will be able to download them tomorrrow, going off my first order. Although now the payment problems seem to of been resolved I imagine there's a lot been ordered now. I do hope this is going to be the new way to order 'normal' wills and for access to the whole of the probate index, much easier and quicker! Hopefully it is and it will happen soon my list of people to check in the post 1966 index seems to get longer by the week.

Just received an email saying my 3 wills are available for download. Very pleased with the speed of getting these and the one before.

Just got mine too, but the will was just a filled-in form giving his wife's name and address.

Whilst the four I have received didn't say much (as expected), they were all in the hand of the writer.
