Default How much is a new FMP subscription?

Today is my renewal day.

I have had an e-mail inviting me to renew (I had unchecked auto renewal).

"Your subscription to Findmypast has just run out. Renew it now to ensure you don’t miss out on our incredible collections, now totalling over 8 billion records, plus you'll still get your 10% loyalty discount on your original package price if you come back today. Remember, that works out as a saving of 25% against the new subscription prices on Findmypast."

I have signed up to a Family Historian/FMP webinar next week which gives me a 20% discount of a subscription. Should I wait for that or am I getting better value by renewing now?

25% discount must be better than 20% discount, mustn't it? Or are you saying that you would be able to use the 20% discount on your "original package price"?

(The price of a new sub went up by 20% earlier this year, but existing subscribers still renew at the old price, minus the loyalty discount. That is why the price they are offering for your renewal is the equivalent of a 25% discount on the price of a new sub.)

Just to add to the confusion, last year there was a special offer on their US site at Thanksgiving (24 Nov) of 75% off the price of an annual world sub (although the renewal on one of those will be at the full rate.) But it's too early to know whether there will be a similar offer this year.

They are saying "Charged as a single payment of £107.96".

I wasn't sure what price the 20% discount would be taken off!

My sub finished a week or so ago but I wasn't offered a deal.

I want a world sub if possible so could I try for the Us one?

Edit - disregard this post as it seems to be the prices of old subs!

A new annual world sub costs £155.95 and a new annual Britain sub costs £119.95, according to this page:
http://www.findmypast.co.uk/articles...findmypastcouk

A 25% discount on £155.95 would give a price of around £117 and a 25% discount on £119.95 would give a price of around £90.

Now I'm completely confused! Is that £107.96 price your 10% discount renewal, or the 20% discount price after the webinar, and is it for a world sub or a Britain sub?

I have just had a Live Chat with a very helpful FMP person.
I have 30 days before I need renew for the 10% deal, £107.96 for the year. That is great as I can leave it until the weekend when my credit card statement has gone through.

Problem is we don't know whether there will be a Thanksgiving offer this year. Also, the pound has gone down against the dollar, so it wouldn't be quite such good value this time, I suppose.

The £107.96 is my yearly renewal for my existing British subscription. I don't need a world sub.

I haven't been given a price for the 20% discount for the tie-up of Family Historian (Calico Pie) with FMP.

Is that a world sub or a Britain one, Elizabeth?
