Frances Dillon death reg Apr-Jun 1919 Aston, age 74. So where is she in 1911...? I'm hoping she was one of those widows who filled in number of children although they weren't supposed to.

There is an Edward Stone birth Jan-Mar 1866 Aston, which would be before Albert and Frances got married.

Ah, since Edward's wife is Mary Alice on the 1911 census, and says they have been married 20 years, their marriage must be Edward Dillon / Mary Alice Ashfield Apr-Jun 1891 Aston.

Here is Ernest (presumably Echo) in 1901:
1901 census ancestry

293 Albert Rd, Aston Manor, Warwickshire
Eliza Hawkley Head S 38 Bordinghouse Keeper Warwick Aston
...various relatives and "borders"...
Ernest Dillon Border M 28 Professional Gymnast Worcester Dudley
Hildress(?) B Do Border M 27 Do Do America
Ernest B Do Border 5 America

I have a feeling I came across this family somewhere else earlier on.

Not what I saw earlier, but this is Ernest Dillon's house in 1911 although he must be away (the next image has the name E Dillon crossed out and Mrs Cannell written in):
Holly Cottage, Morden Rd, Merton SW
Amy Sarah Cannell Servant 42 Widow married 13 yrs 3 children 3 living Housekeeper Domestic born London
Ernest Byron Dillon Son 14 School born Saratoga LAkes America British Subj Parentage
Herbert Harry Cannell Son 9 Tooting Surrey

I presume that this entry is just in a muddle and Herbert is Amy Cannell's son by her late husband, not Ernest sr's son - but who knows?!

1911 census

Ooh, trapeze artists arriving in London in 1902 on the Tongariro, port of embarkation Montevideo:
Dillon Mr Ernest 29
" Mrs " 27
Byron (Child) 5
Dillon Mr Elsby 33
" Mrs " 32

Elsby must be Edward using a variation of Elspa.
