Hasn't this been a thing for ages? I'm sure I read about it quite a long time ago. I don't see what's wrong with it if it helps with identifying potential health issues etc and it might help flush out dodgy breeders.

It was only a matter of time. I won't be surprised if it's a runaway hit. And no, even if I had a current pet, which I don't, I'm not coughing up 75 bucks! I think a lot of people will, though.
