Date and place of birth: Aprox 1830 in Poland (or Austria??) Names of parents: Philip Christ & ?? Date and place of baptism: ?? Details of each of his or her marriages: 16th May 1858 at the parish church of Ecclesall, Sheffield, South Yorks, to Helen Beckitt. Aged 27, Bachelor, Mercantile Clerk. Names father as Philip Christ, Manufacturer. Occupation(s): Predominently as Foreman in Steel Works Addresses where they lived (including county if in UK) - and please list which censuses you have or haven't found him/her on (if s/he lived in census times!): 1851: 20 Cherry Lane, Liverpool. Aged 21, Unmarried, with a large number of other Polish gentlemen and all have army positions as their occupation. Maurice is listed as a Sergent Cavalry. 1861: 35 Mitchell Street, Sheffield 1871: 28 Mitchell Street, Sheffield 1881/91/1901: All at 33 Mitchell Street, Sheffield Date, place and cause of death: 26th June 1907 at 33 Mitchell Street, Sheffield aged 76. Died of bronchitis & heart failure Date and place of burial: 29th June 1907 at the General Cemetery in Sheffield Details of will / administration of their estate: None Memorial inscription: Same grave as discussed last week. There was a memorial but was destroyed in the laste 1970s with a large number of others.
